Laura A. Saunders, MSSW

Laura A. Saunders, MSSW. Ms. Saunders is a Senior Counseling Manager in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Her research, teaching, and publications reflect her longstanding interest in helping persons with alcohol and drug use disorders. She has practiced and taught Motivational interviewing for over 10 years. Currently, Ms. Saunders trains and monitors the clinical practice of eighteen health educators who deliver services for the Wisconsin SBIRT project, Wisconsin Initiative to Promote Healthy Lifestyles (WIPHL).
