Course Description:

A highly successful treatment approach developed by Drs. William Miller and Steven Rollnick, Motivational Interviewing (MI), is a person centered, guiding method of communication to elicit and strengthen motivation for change. This course, the second in a series, will focus on the application of MI. Participants will be offered opportunities to apply strategies for finding a focus and will learn about, listen for and respond to client sustain and change talk. The discussion material and information will be given via a class webpage, including video, and a bulletin board.

This four week course requires 8 hours of work over its duration.
