Course Description:

Motivational Incentive Protocols (also known as Contingency Management) have proven to be a powerful adjunct to a variety of treatment modalities across the United States. By learning about the history and philosophy at the foundation of Motivational Incentive Protocols, course participants will develop a clear understanding of environmental circumstances that foster successful implementation of this powerful clinical tool. Ultimately, after reviewing research and best practices literature, this course provides participants with an opportunity to develop a personalized implementation plan that insures fidelity to the model and therefore optimizes the likelihood of improved program performance. Finally, participants can anticipate that protocols to increase program outcome performance, reduce attrition and improve staff morale will be concrete takeaways from this on-line experience. This course is intended for clinical and administrative staff and will address the importance of organizational change as critical to the effective transfer of evidence-based practices from the laboratory to the practice setting.

This four week course requires 8 hours of work over its duration.
