Course Description:
This four-session course will examine the unique issues for chemically dependent women. Using websites, readings and interactive assignments, participants will develop knowledge and skills related to women and relationships, domestic violence, trauma, women’s health care and co-occurring disorders. This course will give participants an understanding of the aforementioned issues and what their role is in providing comprehensive services to women. Participants, who take this course, should have a working knowledge of substance use, abuse, and dependency. The following publications and video will be used and referenced during the course:
