Marc Bono, PsyD

Dr. Marc Bono is a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of California. He was awarded a Doctorate in Psychology with an emphasis in Addictions Counseling from United States International University in San Diego, CA. Dr. Bono has been specializing in addiction treatment for over ten years and has a broad base of experience with the dually diagnosed population. He is a former employee of The Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, CA. He has also worked as a Clinical Psychologist and a Drug and Alcohol Program Director for The Federal Bureau of Prisons.

Currently, Dr. Bono is the Coordinator of The Dual Diagnosis Demonstration Project for Contra Costa County. This Project serves persons with severe and persistent mental illness and co-occurring substance abuse disorders. Dr. Bono is the founder and director of The Office for Dual Recovery, a private practice and training organization in Pleasant Hill, CA. Dr. Bono is also an Associate Professor at Contra Costa Community College in the Substance Abuse Certificate Program. He is a frequent lecturer on dual diagnosis.
