Steven Horovitz, MA, LCDS
Steven Horovitz, is the Clinical Director of the Center for Behavioral Health, an outpatient substance abuse treatment program that specializes in the treatment of opioid addiction. He holds a Master’s Degree in Agency Counseling from Rhode Island College and is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Clinical Supervisor. He has over 20 years experience providing substance abuse treatment services in a variety of program settings. Steve provides trainings for the Addiction Technology Transfer Center of New England (ATTC-NE), the RI Council of Community Health Organizations and the Drug and Alcohol Treatment Association of RI (DATA). Steve served for 5 years as Board President of RICAREs, Chairperson of the RI Independent Peer Review Committee, and is the current Chairperson of the RI Board of Licensing for Chemical Dependency Professionals. Steve is certified as an HIV Pre & Post Test Counselor, a US Department of Transportation Substance Abuse Professional, a Certified Criminal Justice Professional, a Qualified Mental Health Professional, and an ICRC/AODA Case Presentation method Evaluator.
